The type of personal information we collect
You can apply for any role in Good Energy through our Recruitment Portal [LINK], Pinpoint is provided by The Infuse Group Ltd (trading as Pinpoint Software), to apply we will ask you for your name, contact information, CV and information about your salary expectations and notice period.  

You will also be asked to provide diversity data, other documentation, and details of your referrer if you were referred to the role by a friend or family member. This additional information is optional.  

If you’re successful for the role we will collect the following to progress your job offer: 
  • Right to work checks 
  • References 
  • Qualification verifications (role dependant) 
  • Security Clearances (role dependant)  
How and why do we collect this information? 
This information is required to process job applications and make offers of employment. All data is collected through our Recruitment and Onboarding Portal (managed by Pinpoint) or via email.  
 
Analytics  
In order to ensure our digital experience is as seamless as possible we use cookies managed by the portal supplier - PinPoint. This service allows us to record a sample of website visits to help us identify problem areas. Using your personal data 
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the lawful bases for processing your data through the Recruitment and Onboard Portals are:  
  1. Your consent when you provide diversity information. You can remove your consent at any time. You can do this by contacting dataprotection@goodenergy.co.uk   
  2. Contractual. We need to process your application to make a decision on the offer of employment. 
  3. Legal Obligation. As part of the offer of employment there are legal requirements for us to process your data. Dependant on the role you have applied for there are also regulatory obligations to ensure you are suitable for the role.  
  4. Legitimate interests. We have a legitimate interest to assess your suitability for the role which includes requesting references.  
How we store your personal information 
Your information is securely stored in UK and EU data centres. Occasionally your information will be processed outside of the UK or EU by suppliers that maintain our robust security procedures in line with UK Data Protection requirements. 

If you’re unsuccessful in your application, we will keep this personal information for two years. If you’re successful, your application will be transferred into our HR system. At the end of the retention period we will erase your information by deleting it from our IT systems and services.
